Last Year, Winakwa had 13 teams of girls and boys in our U9-U18 recreational divisions. We also had over 800 participants playing in our U3-U8 program. A big thank you to our many volunteer coaches. The season will start in late April and go to late June/ early July for the U9-U12 players. The older division will go until mid September with a break in July.
Games are usually at 6:00PM or 7:15PM for the odd numbers (U9,U11,U13 etc.) playing Tuesday and Thursday nights. Even numbers (U10,U12,U14 etc.) playing Monday and Wednesday nights. Please don’t let the cost deter you- we can help!
We have cleats for $10. We can also help you apply for Kid Sport grants or arrange some form of payment plan. We hope to see you at a nearby soccer field this spring! Roger Moreira Roger.firstname.lastname@example.org
We are looking forward to our 2020 spring soccer season! Our mini soccer program is co-ed with each team having 8-10 players. The season is 8 weeks long and starts on April 29th (depending on weather) and ending on a high note with our annual soccer Jamboree June 20th, 2020.
Smurfs - 3 & 4 years old (2016/17) play Monday and occasionally Wednesday nights (6-7 p.m. at Winakwa CC) at a cost of $50 per player.
Minis - 5 & 6 years old (2014/15) play Tuesday & Thursday nights (6 -7 pm at Winakwa CC) at a cost of $65 per player.
Tykes - 7 & 8 years old (2012/13) play Monday and Wednesday nights (6 – 7pm or 7 - 8pm at Westmount park, corner of Westmount drive and Paterson street) at a cost of $70 per player.
$20 registration fee is required per activity with a max of $60 per family. Registration will be done online at the beginning of March!
We want to send out a great big thank you to all the volunteers who came out to coach, assist, and volunteer during the season and jamboree. Please do consider coaching- let’s all work together as a community so everyone can participate in this great sport.

Have you ever wanted to help out coaching but don’t feel that you have the knowledge?? Coaches are what make our soccer program so successful. Without coaches, kids cannot have fun and enjoy this beautiful summer sport.
Here at Winakwa, we will again be setting up some spring coaching clinics that will help you feel confident in leading a group of children in their pursuit to be the next Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo. So, let this not be your excuse in helping your child pursuit his dream, become your child’s hero by become a coach at Winakwa.

We have swapped out 200 pairs of shoes so far. In order to continue our success, we ask if you have any soccer shoes (Indoor or Outdoor) that you would like to donated to please drop them off to myself (Roger Moreira) or the Club anytime between now and prior to our registration night. We will be having the Soccer Shoe Swap at our spring and fall registration night. If you want to swap a pair of shoes for another pair we will be asking for a $5 donation (U3 – U8) and $10 donation for (U9 – U18). These donations will be used to start a High School Scholarship Program for a deserving Student who shows leadership in their Community. Thanks in advance for helping us to make this a successful event.
