Formerly - the Main Hall
A perfect room to have your social, wedding, corporate training or fundraiser! The Linda Boyd Studio has lovely vaulted ceilings and access to a serving area. This room also has a sound system.

Additional Information:
- ALL events must hire Winakwa bartender(s) if you wish to serve alcohol at your event. No Self-service.
- A LGCA permit must be obtained for your event
- The permit holder must be present for the entire event.
- Minimum of 30 days notice is required for this se
- NO glass – including but not limited to bottles (beer, coolers ect), drinkware & serve ware.
- Alcohol will be stored securely until the end of your event; at which time it must be removed from the hall.

Recurring Rentals
Liability Insurance
The City of Winnipeg requires general liability insurance for recurring rentals.
The following are the requirements we will need:
- To maintain and keep in force during the term of this Agreement, a general liability insurance policy in respect of the use of the Facility named in the Agreement with,
- Minimum limits of $ 2,000,000 inclusive;
- The City of Winnipeg added as an additional insured
- Inclusion of a cross liability clause;
- Insurance coverage to be effective immediately upon the User taking possession of the Facility until such time as the Facility is surrendered to the City.
Where do I get insurance?
Insurance may be available through your sport association, Sport Manitoba or another insurance company. We, unfortunately, cannot make recommendations regarding individual insurance needs or providers.
Other Information?
In addition to Winakwa Rental Contracts, we will also collect City of Winnipeg Facility Use Agreements and proof of insurance.

Yes! You can set up your event as it suits your needs
Set up and clean up (tear down) are to be done during your rental period
Yes! Only use 'fun tak' or painters tape when affixing decorations to the walls (nothing on the ceiling).
NO tacks, staples, packing or duct tape!
All decorations must come down at the end of the event.
During your rental time. Renters have access to the room during the time on thier contract. Please plan accordingly.
No - Do not decorate with:
- Glitter
- Confetti
- Sparkles
- Coloured sand or powder
- Fog or bubble
- Candles
Please do not add confetti/similar to balloons.

Yes! A selection of toys is available for rent when renting the Linda Boyd Studio. Please see our 'Pre-school Toy Package' under options above.
Yes! We have a few requirements for any event serving alcohol:
You must hire Winakwa bartenders for your event and you must have a LGCA permit.

We use standard 8' banquet tables for most events
Upon request, round tables may be available in the Linda Boyd Studio only - please let us know if you would prefer round tables on the booking form above. We will do our best to accommodate your request

Please only book events for your own group! The contract signer must be at the event.
All our rooms have serving areas.
However we do not allow cooking in any of our rooms. Please do not bring cookers/hotplates of any kind. - including gas.
Crockpots, instapots, electric food warmers are all welcome.
Cooking is not allowed in the facility.
What comes in, must go out!
- Remove all decorations from walls
- All items brought in must be removed after the event
- Wipe down counters and kitchen appliances
- If you borrowed it from us - you must wash and return it
- All garbage must be disposed of into our garbage bin located on the north side of the building
- Clean and return all tables and chairs to their storage areas
- Tables in stacks of 15, chairs in stacks of 10
- All cleaning supplies and garbage bags will be provided by the staff
- Turn off all lights and have the supervisor confirm the room is complete and your event has ended.
No. We do not allow bouncers of any kind in the facility
No. We do not allow 'smash cakes' or other extremely messy activities.
No, payment in full is due 7 days after a contract is returned to us.
We accept VISA, MasterCard, debit, exact cash, and cheque. We also accept payments online through our online payment system - VISA, MasterCard and VISA debit.

Yes! We have two coffee urns available for our renters - 100 cup & 45 cup capacities.
We do not provide coffee, coffee fixings, cups or other kitchenware. Please use the 'special request' section on your contract to request use of our coffee urns.
We have 90 parking stalls.
Be kind to the environment and consider car-pooling!
Event Refund Policy:
- No refund if cancelled with out 30 days notice
- Cancellation with 30 days notice is a $50.00 fee
- All refunds are issued by cheque and mailed to the lessee
