We're Looking for a Stay & Play Convenor!

 Winakwa Community Centre is looking for a friendly, community-minded Stay & Play Convenor to help host our popular weekly drop-in play group.

Stay & Play runs Wednesday mornings from 9:00–11:00am, September through June. It’s a casual, lively space where families with kids aged 0–6 come to play, connect, and burn off some energy.

As convenor, you’ll help open the room, make coffee, welcome families, and plan simple holiday activities like crafts and music. No teaching required — just a warm presence and a love of organized chaos. Most setup is handled by staff, so you’re free to focus on creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere.
