One of Sport Manitoba’s key functions is the training, development, and continued support of our province’s coaches. We recognize the integral role coaches play in our communities, and we strive to impart this integrity into our training and certification courses offered to all levels of coaches, throughout the year.

Keeping Girls in Sport is an online resource that helps coaches and youth activity leaders to create safe and respectful environments for female athletes, ensuring girls stay enrolled and engaged in sports and physical activity
Coaching Kids of All Abilities is an online resource that helps coaches and youth activity leaders create inclusive sporting environments for kids of all abilities.
If you or someone you know is experiencing abuse, harassment, bullying or hazing in sport, and you need someone to talk to, call the safe sport line: 1-833-656-SAFE (7233).
Winakwa Community Centre strives to serve members of our community with all-inclusive programs for children and adults. In order to remove barriers for families and raise the level of sport in the community, qualifying families have access to two financial assistance programs for children's sport..
Sometimes, families need financial assistance to get their kids into a sport or physical activity. We're committed to helping all families access a range of activities, from boxing to bowling and skating to skiing, and more.
This subsidy is designed to assist children, 17 and under, living within the City of Winnipeg, who would not otherwise participate in Community Centre activities.
Simply apply in person (Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm).
