Convenor Needed!

Become a Convenor – Help Us Make Our Basketball Season a Success!

The role of a Convenor is vital to the smooth operation of our basketball season, and we’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to step into this rewarding position! While the list of responsibilities may seem extensive, we want to assure you that the Convenor will have full support from the Winakwa board, the WMBA, and the management team who will be there to assist when needed.

At its core, the Convenor’s job is to ensure that our basketball teams run smoothly, providing a positive experience that aligns with the goals and values of Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Assignment: At the start of the season, the Convenor is responsible for ensuring all players are appropriately placed on teams.
  • Coach Support: Once teams are formed, the Convenor provides coaches with all necessary tools and resources to help them succeed.
  • Ongoing Assistance: Throughout the season, the Convenor acts as a key support resource for teams, assisting with any challenges or concerns that arise.

While the role is important, the rewards are just as significant! You'll be making a direct impact on the success and enjoyment of our basketball players and coaches. The Convenor role ensures that everything runs smoothly, contributing to a well-organized and positive experience for all involved.

If you’re interested in becoming a Convenor or simply want to learn more, please reach out to us. We are excited to work together to make this basketball season enjoyable and successful for everyone involved.

Join us in making a difference and creating lasting memories for our community!
