Hockey Season is Almost Here!

Please review our rink policies before using our hockey rinks.

Ice rinks are available for weekly practices only.  Ice is free to use at Winakwa, however, we still book ice times for hockey practice (one/team/week) to allow fair usage to as many teams as possible as well as the community at large.  Team practices are not allowed outside of scheduled times.

• A dressing room is provided for each team when they arrive. Please keep these neat and tidy and exit the room within 30 minutes of the end of your practice.
• Teams should be prepared to bring their own snow removal equipment as the club will not be providing any shovels.
• If shoveling is needed, we ask that you do not pile it all along the outside of the rink. Either throw it over or place it one or two large piles. This will allow us more time during the day to keep the ice in top shape.
• Usage times are strict regardless of how long it takes to clear the ice surface.
• At the end of your allotted time be sure to have a coach or manager inspect the ice and bench area for any personal belongings, equipment, or refuse. 
• Please clean up after yourself and be considerate of the next user. There are plenty of trash bins available.
• Winakwa reserves the right to cancel practice time if we feel the ice is not suitable for usage. We will do our best to give as much notice as possible.
