Please consider volunteering as a coach or assistant for your child’s team. Our program depends on volunteer coaches to make the season possible.
Must be completed before registration.
Gently used cleats and shin pads available.

Our soccer program runs on community spirit, and our volunteer coaches and coach assistants make it all possible. We welcome both new and returning coaches — no experience needed! We’ll help you get started and support you along the way so you can focus on what matters most: helping kids have fun, learn new skills, and enjoy being part of a positive team environment.
We offer a Coaching Clinic on April 19th from 9:30, where you can meet other coaches, ask questions, and learn some simple drills and games to make practices fun and easy to run. Co-coaching a team is also welcome.
All coaches are required to complete a short online, at your own pace, Respect In Sport certification course, and we cover the cost of a criminal record check and child abuse registry check so everyone can feel confident in a safe and welcoming program.
As a thank-you, all coaches are also invited to the Winakwa Community Centre Volunteer Appreciation Evening later in the year — a great chance to connect and celebrate the amazing volunteers who make our program possible
Coaching is a rewarding way to be part of your child’s soccer experience and help build a strong, active community. To volunteer to coach you can submit your interest during registration or email.
Gently used cleats and shin pads available.
